Getting in the modeling game

Hi, guys,

Don’t know if you had a chance to check out my live chat at Maxim Spring Break. It was a blast! So be sure to give it a look on the curve appeal facebook page! Getting to know my curve appeal fans and answering their questions was so much fun.

One question I hear from you guys a lot is, “Any tips on how to succeed as a model?” You might think, watching me and my curve appeal partner, Kevin Zegers, that it’s a piece of cake (that’s part of what we do – make it look easy!). But believe me, it takes some serious hard work, even if you love it as I do, because it is really competitive out there!

So, here’s my cheat sheet for getting ahead in the modeling game.

Being gorgeous and having some serious sex appeal is a great start, but I think you need more than that. It’s super important to have your own look. You’re a unique individual – embrace your own personal style and vibe!

Great skin is important too, because no matter how much makeup they bring to the set, you want to look good with it on AND off. Your skin is your most important asset: that’s why I ALWAYS wash my face in the morning and before bed, no matter how tired I am, wear my SPF faithfully, and moisturize, moisturize, moisturize! People complimented me at the Maxim party, for being so bronze and glowing, but I’ll let you in on a secret: spray tan is a model’s best friend!

Make sure people remember you. I always use my signature scent, curve appeal, to leave everyone wanting more, even after I leave the room.

It also doesn’t hurt to be more than a model. I’m a double threat because I consider myself a model/actress (I call it a Mactress, haha) so that way, I can do more than modeling.

And sometimes, it just takes being at the right place at the right time.

Good luck out there, my gorgeous readers!
